Frank Warren, who along with Top Rank is the co-promoter for WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, says there is no way that a trilogy with Deontay Wilder will take place behind closed doors.

Fury made a statement when he dropped and stopped Wilder in seven rounds back in February to capture the WBC championship at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The third fight was targeted for July 18th, but pushed back due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The fight was then discussed for a date in October, and now may land in November or December in order to stage the fight before a live audience.

Boxing has a good possibility of coming back in the month of July, in the United States and the UK, but the events are going to be held in a closed door setting.

"There's not going to be big-name fighters out there," Warren told BBC Radio 5 Live. "There is no chance of Fury vs. Wilder behind closed doors."

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum made it clear last month that a trilogy fight like Fury-Wilder was too big to take place before an empty crowd. Because of the size of the potential gate involved, the trilogy would take a big financial cut if no fans are allowed to attend.

"The fans in the last fight put in almost $17million into the coffers in purchase of tickets... how do you replace that $17 million?" Arum said. "I mean, you don't. A Fury-Wilder fight might have to wait a couple more months until we can go back to full spectators."
