Carl Froch has received the seal of approval from former undisputed heavyweight champion 'Iron' Mike Tyson ahead of the Nottingham fighter's Super Six final clash with unbeaten American sensation Andre Ward.
Froch, 28-1 (20), meets Ward, 24-0 (13), at Atlantic's Board Walk Hall on December 17 with the WBC and WBA titles at stake as both vie for victory in a match that will move the winner one step closer towards the undisputed crown.
"Carl Froch is a first class fighter," enthused Mike when speaking to Sky Sport's Ringside show. "I have so much respect for him because he's just warring in there, it is awesome. He has a tough fight coming up against Andre Ward, a sensational fighter, but the right guys are fighting each other in the division."
Lucian Bute holds the IBF belt, the Canada-based Romanian is 30-0 (24) and will no doubt throw down the gauntlet to the winner of Ward-Froch.
