WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko, is worried that Alexander Povetkin (26-0, 18KOs) will withdraw from the scheduled fight with his younger brother, WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko (60-3, 51KOs), taking place on October 5th at Olympic Stadium in Moscow, Russia.

Earlier this week it was Wladimir who expressed some concern that Povetkin would withdraw. In recent years, Povetkin withdrew from two scheduled fights with Wladimir. But this time around there is $23 million dollars on the table, courtesy of purse bid winner Vladimir Hryunov.

"Based on the fact that the fight fell apart twice, we fear that - God forbid - the fight could fall through again for a third time without reason. For our part, Team Klitschko, I can say that Wladimir is ready to prove [his worth against] any athlete in the world and defend the title against the strongest [contenders], whoever it is, including Povetkin," Vitali said.
