In an earlier article on BoxingScene.com , Floyd Mayweather Jr. expressed his interest in facing Oscar De La Hoya in a rematch this coming fall. Mayweather decisioned De La Hoya back in 2007. De La Hoya retired in 2008 after getting stopped by Manny Pacquiao, but recently he's been hinting at a potential return to the ring.

Ryan Burton spoke to father and trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. to get his thoughts on a potential rematch with De La Hoya, who Floyd Sr. trained for several years.

Mayweather Jr. is scheduled to return to action on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
