Oleksandr Usyk has warned that he will not allow anyone to "cheat" him out of his mandatory crack at the heavyweight title.
Usyk is the mandatory challenger, under the World Boxing Organization. The current WBO world champion is Anthony Joshua, who also holds the IBF, WBA, IBO world titles.
Usyk returns to the ring on May 23rd, when he risks his mandatory status against Derek Chisora at The O2 in London.
On June 20th, Joshua will defend his heavyweight titles against the mandatory challenger under the IBF, Kubrat Pulev.
Much of the talk has been centered around Joshua facing WBC champion Tyson Fury at the end of the year - if Fury defeats Deontay Wilder in a planned trilogy fight on a date in July.
Usyk believes his fight with Joshua will take place at some point in 2020.
But he also warns that he won't allow himself to be side-stepped so Joshua could face another opponent.
"It’s very good when people talk a lot about Fury and AJ, every time they talk they mention me as the mandatory challenger," said Usyk to IFL TV.
"I don’t really like to guess what’s going to be in the future, my guess is that everything is pre-defined by the lord and all we need to do is to wait for our time to come. But if someone tries to cheat us we will fight for our rights. Someone may just try to cheat us."
Usyk unified the entire cruiserweight division in 2018, and officially made the jump to heavyweight back on October, when he stopped division veteran Chazz Witherspoon. Usyk's activity has taken a hit, due to injuries suffered in camp.
