CLEVERLY LIFTED BY BURNS WIN
Nathan Cleverly says the Celtic nations will have cause for double celebration next Saturday.
Scotland is already buzzing after Ricky Burns lifted the WBO World Super-Featherweight title against Roman Martinez in Glasgow.
And Cleverly has vowed to continue the Celtic revival by destroying Karo Murat in Birmingham.
The fight is an eliminator for the WBO World Light-Heavyweight title, and Cleverly says he has been inspired by Burns' performance against Martinez.
"Ricky's win was a great boost for British boxing, and I'd like to congratulate him," said proud Welshman Cleverly.
"I fight half as well against Murat I'll be very happy.
"Boxing in Wales, Scotland and Ireland has always been strong, and it is definitely on the up at the moment.
"I'm going to follow up Burns' win with another barnstorming victory.
"It was good to see Scotland celebrating at the weekend, and Wales will be partying too after I take a step closer to the world title.
"Murat is definitely in for a shock when we meet, and I can't see how he is going to last the distance with me."
Cleverly's fight against Murat forms part of Frank Warren's huge Magnificent Seven show at the LG Arena, live on Sky Box Office.
Tickets for the Magnificent Seven are priced at £40, £50, £80, £150 and £200 and are available from:

Helliet's Fantastic Four
London based promoter Mickey Helliet who manages over 40 boxers including Tyson conqueror Danny Williams and Flyweight sensation Ashley Sexton will have 4 fighters making their professional debuts at the Flemming Park Leisure Centre, Eastleigh, Southampton on 25th September. Floyd Moore, Mark Coombs, Kid Lewis and Jonathon Fry will all look to get their careers off to a good start on what will be a fantastic night of boxing. All four fighters have had successful amateur careers and hopes will be high that that they are able to show class in the professional ranks.
There is a big step up to the pro's and debuts can sometimes be a daunting task, former middleweight world champion Bernard Hopkins famously lost in his professional debut to unknown Clinton Mitchell. However Helliet is confident all of his new fighters have what it takes " Im really excited to see how they will all perform because I know they all have the qualities I look for in fighters. They are some of the hottest prospects I've seen for a long time and all have the desire and determination needed to be successful in professional boxing. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw some terrific performances and a few knockouts".

London based promoter and Watson's manager Mickey Helliet shares his fighters confidence, "Shane is the kind of fighter that everyone else is scared to fight, he's tough, fit and hits very hard. Shane loves nothing better than to get on the inside of his opponent and dish out the hurt. I'm looking to step Shane up quite swiftly this year as he is attracting a lot of attention within the industry and will soon be in the reckoning for a title shot" Watson, who works full time and is currently trained by his father in Southampton, has strived to put in the extra hours to get into peak condition in order to ensure a win come the big night.
