Over the course of the past 11 years, 22 have tried and failed to capitalize on the vulneralibities that once plagued Wladimir Klitschko's career. The towering Ukrainian has dominated the heavyweight landscape following early knockout losses, having now held at least one major title since April '06.

His upcoming showdown versus unbeaten contender Tyson Fury will mark his 19th attempted title defense. If the challenger has his way, then the moments leading up to the opening bell on October 24 in Dusseldorf, Germany will mark the last time Klitschko enters the ring as champion.

“I’m the man to do it because I’m Tyson Fury… Tyson ‘Too Fast’ Fury," the 27-year old cryptically insisted during an interview with Sky Sports, whose Pay-Per-View arm will air the bout live, as will HBO in the United States. "Undefeated, young, hungry; I can talk, what more I can dance, sing… I’m the full package. If a man can beat me at 40 years old, I don’t deserve to be a world champion. Although Klitschko hasn’t been beat in 11 years, he will be beat this year, I promise you that.

“I’m serious as cancer when I say, Wladimir, you’re getting knocked spark out.”

Many an opponent has made bold claims ahead of similar challenges, but Klitschko has managed to find a way to shut down every challenge put in front of him in his second
championship tour. Fury has taken note of where past challengers have failed, and insists such fears wlll never enter his mind at any point in their widely anticipated clash.

"What I want to do different (than any other challenger) is rip his heart right in front of him and feed it to him," Fury stated. "I’m going to do what Tyson Fury does best, and that’s win. Win, win, WIN!

The bout will mark Fury's first in Germany, and fourth career bout outside of the United Kingdom. Efforts were made to bring the fight to England, but Klitschko's team was able to secure a big enough deal to satisfy all parties.

Where the fight takes place is of little concern to Fury, so long as he's able to chase his dream of becoming the first Irish Traveler to lay claim to the World heavyweight championship.

"I’ll go to Hong Kong, China, Germany, wherever you want. It’s not the dog in the fight,
it’s the fight in the dog. Take me to Germany and unleash the dog in me, and I will rip his heart out.

"There's no pressure on me whatsoever. I’m going in there to do the job. Win, lose or draw, I will put on the most entertaining fight that’s ever been on Sky Box Office before. Not only will you see something spectacular, but you will see me become undisputed heavyweight champion of the world."
