Light heavyweight prospect Tommy Fury will have his back against the wall next month - with additional pressure added by his fighting family.

Fury is slated to face Youtube star turned boxer Jake Paul on February 25 in Saudi Arabia.

They were scheduled to collide on two previous occasions. In 2021, Fury withdrew with an injury sustained in training camp. Last year, Fury was pulled from the fight after being denied entry into the United States.

Fury's older brother, WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, has warned him that he needs to win for the sake of the family name.

"I don’t think it’s been officially announced, but I hear an announcement is imminent. They are finally getting it on and are going to throw down. The two YouTube people get to battle it out for the king of the YouTubers. It’s going to be fun, and I expect Tommy to chin him. If he doesn’t he can stay in Saudi Arabia," Tyson Fury told Talk Sport.

Tyson is not the only vocal party. The father of the family, John Fury, has vowed to retire his son from the sport if he loses the upcoming fight with Paul.

“There is no more boxing for him if he loses. But, I am 100 percent confident he will knock him out. It’s a big ask for Jake Paul, because Tommy is much better than what he’s faced before, so fair do’s to him," John Fury told Talk Sport.

“It’s a foregone conclusion that Tommy will win. We are not leaving a stone unturned and are training as if this were against a world-class fighter. He’s working really well. Tommy will be very famous on the 26th of February.”
