Top heavyweight contender Tyson Fury is still motivated to move forward with a potential debut in the UFC.

Last October, Fury crossed over to the world of professional wrestling when he made his debut for the WWE in Saudi Arabia. He defeated company star Braun Strowman by countout.

On Saturday night, Fury was ringside at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, to watch the return of Conor McGregor at UFC 246.

Fury is currently training in Las Vegas for his scheduled rematch with WBC world champion Deontay Wilder, which takes place on February 22nd at the MGM Grand.

Should he defeat Wilder, then Fury plans to meet with UFC President Dana White.

Fury would like to face current UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic.

But, Fury is not willing to face him under MMA rules. He wants the contest to be fought under boxing rules, and he's willing to have the bout take place in the UFC's octagon with standard 4-ounce gloves that are used in MMA.

"I don't want to go into an MMA fight, rolling around the floor and all that, no. But I would fight one of their champions in small gloves. Maybe in a cage, but with boxing rules. I think that would be very interesting. ... With UFC gloves, the little 4-ounce gloves, that would be good for me," Fury told ESPN.

"After I beat Deontay Wilder next month, I'm going to have a sit-down with Dana [White] and we're going to go for it, run some numbers and see if the fight makes sense. Whoever's available from that side, and whoever's willing to get their ass kicked in the cage by the heavyweight champion of the world, he's the one I want."
