London - Tyson Fury is hoping a nightmare week can’t get any worse as he returns to action this weekend live on BoxNation.
The rising Manchester star has endured a terrible last seven days with his wife being rushed into hospital for an emergency operation, two of his cars being set ablaze at his house and being cut in sparring ahead of what will be his first return to the ring in ten months.
The former British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion takes on the hard-hitting Joey Abell in what is sure to be an all-action affair between two exciting and come-forward fighters this Saturday night at the Copper Box Arena.
“It’s been hard, it’s been a very bad week for me,” Fury told BoxNation. “My wife was rushed into hospital on Monday for an emergency operation and she was in for five days. I got a cut eye in sparring and then my two cars were burnt down on my drive a couple of days later. I’m just waiting for something else to go wrong now! Hopefully not though!
“Hopefully on Saturday I go out there and knock this guy out and go onto my next fight. All of what has gone on is in the past, I look to the future and not what is behind me” he said.
The 25-year-old had earlier in the week described the man from Minnesota as ‘his worst nightmare’ and is refusing to underestimate the tough American.
“Six-foot four, southpaw, puncher – everybody’s worst nightmare,” Fury said. “Hopefully he’ll come, he’ll have a fight and he’ll get caught and go to sleep because, if not, it will be a long night for me,” he said. “It’s going to be one way or the other. I like gun fights as we’ve seen in my career. Anybody who comes for a fight will get knocked out by me,” he said.

“The people watching are going to get a knockout – that’s for sure. Joey Abell, they may call him ‘The Iceman’ but I bring the heat - and heat melts ice, baby!” said Fury.
Also in action on the card will be Dereck Chisora who faces Kevin Johnson ahead of a potential WBO world title eliminator with Fury later this year.
