Event City, Trafford Park, Manchester - British/Commonwealth heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (17-0, 12KOs) survived the first knockdown of his pro career to stop previously undefeated Neven Pajkic (16-1, 5KOs) in the third round.
A wild swinging brawl in the first round. In the second, Fury got caught with a hard right hand and dropped hard in the final minute. He was wobbled a few more times, but held on to survive until the bell. Fury came back strong in the third to rock and drop Pajkic with a series of punches to the head and body. He got up swinging with wild punches and Fury dropped him again with a counter shot. Once again Pajkic beat the count, but Fury landed a hard combo to wobble him and the referee jumped in to stop it.
Chris Eubank Jr., the son of the legendary British champion, made his own professional debut and didn't disappoint by stopping game but overmatched Kirilas Psonko (8-16-1, 6 KOs) in the fourth round. Eubank Jr. dominated every second of every round but failed to put his opponent to sleep. However, Psonko was so wobbled and tired that referee Michael Alexander had no other choice but to halt the action at 1:37.
