Tyson Fury says claims of being knocked out in sparring and a fall-out with his uncle and trainer, Peter Fury, were just mind games.
The WBA Super, IBO and WBO heavyweight world champion claimed on Wednesday he was considering looking for a new trainer after being told to "sort his head out" in time for the rematch with Wladimir Klitschko.
However, Fury took to social media platform Instagram to explain his claims had been made up.
The 27-year-old said: "Ok guys I've been fooling you all. There was no knockdowns in the gym, as if it's possible for me to get chinned off a [light heavyweight]!
"I've lost over 10kg, feeling great and never been so on [course] for a fight with two months left to go. Stripping the weight nicely, but keeping the muscle, all going good. I play mind games."
Peter Fury joked earlier in the week that "apart from Tyson getting knocked out every five seconds, everything in the camp is great".
On Tuesday, Tyson claimed that Peter had left the camp and there were issues where he might have to get a new trainer.
"Me and Peter have had a bit of a fall-out over the sparring," Tyson told Sky Sports. "He said to me, 'If you're getting knocked over by light-heavyweights, what's Klitschko going to do?'. He's left for a couple of days but I am not sure if he's coming back if I'm honest.
"He was talking sense really but I can't do much about getting knocked over and if he's not happy about it, I've got to adopt a new trainer. If he doesn't want to come back then I have to get someone else in. That's how he's left it and said he was going to come back next week and we'll make a final decision if he trains me or not.
"We've never got this far because I've always been motivated and always been raring to go, but in this one it's just like I'm going to the shops. I don't know what's wrong with me at the moment, I am just not performing. Peter advised me to quit for a couple of days until I get my mind right or don't bother at all. I think he's right but I've got bills to pay and mouths to feed and at the end of the day, it's my career and my choice.
"It's not ideal. It's right in the middle of training camp but it's happened before to other fighters and obstacles are for overcoming and if it happens, I think that is the one I've got to get over."
