Tyson Fury is back in training ahead of a return to boxing.

According to his uncle and trainer, Peter Fury, Tyson will begin a full-time camp in the near future after taking some time out to address his mental health issues.

But Boxing Scene understands that the former heavyweight supremo, who defeated Wladimir Klitschko to win the WBA Super, IBF, IBO and WBO world titles in Dusseldorf, Germany but was forced to vacate them to clean up his health, is targeting a return for April or May.

Fury, 28, is currently working alongside his cousin, unbeaten contender Hughie Fury who is the mandatory challenger for that aforementioned WBO belt currently held by New Zealand’s Joseph Parker.

The self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’ was scheduled to meet Klitschko in a rematch on two occasions –– in July and in October –– but those dates were each aborted before it became an impossibility after Fury’s admission to issues outside of the ring.

One of Fury’s belts, the IBF crown, is currently in possession of Anthony Joshua. The undefeated Watford man meets Klitschko at Wembley Stadium, exclusively live on Sky Sports Box Office, on April 29.

Fury currently has his British Boxing Board of Control licence to box suspended and that happened when he admitted to using cocaine during a magazine interview.

But when he gets back in to the ring, the undefeated heavyweight, from Wythenshawe, is gunning for the top men and although it is understood he’ll have a few fights to ease back in, Deontay Wilder, the WBC champion, is believed to be high on the list of desired Fury foes in 2017 into early 2018.

“I've had a nightmare 2016,” Fury wrote in a tweet, “[and] done a lot of stuff I'm not proud of.

“But my promise to [you] is I'll return [in] 2017 [and] takeover [the heavyweight division].”

That return, however, will be subject to the findings of the National Anti-Doping Panel.

Fury and his 22-year-old cousin allegedly failed drugs test and were served with suspensions. Their suspensions were lifted, pending further investigation. Both deny the charges and further details regarding their hearing in front of the Panel will be revealed in due course.
