Travis Castellon flew off his school in hopes of catching Tre’Sean Wiggins off guard in the early moments of their welterweight bout. The strategy fell flat on its face, as did the locally-based Castellon who was dropped three times by Wiggins en route to a first-round knockout as part of a Don King Productions Pay-Per-View event Saturday from Casino Miami Jai Alai in Miami, Florida.
Wiggins laughed off Castellon’s aggressive effort, immediately connecting with a straight left hand out of the southpaw stance. Castellon wildly missed with an overhand left, then came in with his hands down as Wiggins connected with a left hand over the top to score the first knockdown. The same weapons produced a second knockdown moments later.
