Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum had plans on staging a pay-per-view card from Mexico on September 26th that would've featured the likes of Gilberto Ramirez and Oscar Valdez. But it looks like they may be having a change of plans for the time being.
"We have so many balls in the air, that we're not sure because Ramirez was supposed to be fighting on that card and we may be able to go right into a fight with Arthur Abraham," explained the veteran promoter.
Ramirez, is in line to face the WBO super middleweight title held by who Abraham recently defended that title on July 18th in Germany, where he stopped Robert Stieglitz in six rounds but he reportedly suffered a hairline fracture to the jaw.
Top Rank is also in the midst of setting it's fall schedule and finalizing bouts for the likes of Tim Bradley, Brandon Rios, Vasyl Lomachenko, Nicholas Walters and Terence Crawford for the fall.
The September 26th pay-per-view most likely would have been a tough sell given that Deontay Wilder's debut on NBC is scheduled for that night and a busy slate of college football games. But Arum says he still has plans on doing shows of this nature to be his fighters more active in the future.
