Tony Bellew tipped the scales at 197-pounds - 3lb under the cruiserweight limit - for his first fight in the division on Saturday night.

Bellew, a career-long light-heavyweight who lost to WBC champion Adonis Stevenson in his last fight, has chosen to move up to the 25lb higher weight limit in his bid to become world champion.

Brudov fought for the WBO's interim title two years ago and a win for Bellew would give him a high ranking with the sanctioning body and tee him up for a possible tilt at champion Marco Huck.

"I just think it's time to show what got me a name," said the man known as the 'Bomber'. "People don't turn up to see a tickling contest, people don't turn up to see someone run away and win points for 12 rounds.

"People turn up because they want to see a fight and on Saturday night you are going to see a fight. This guy knows no way but forwards and I'm not afraid to mix and get stuck in."
