Former two division world champion Tomasz Adamek (48-2, 29 KOs) has confirmed his return for August 3rd at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville. NBC Sports will televise and heavyweight Eddie Chambers, who lost a close decision to Adamek in 2012, is also fighting on the card. Adamek has been inactive since the December controversial decision win over Steve Cunningham. The Polish star says he took some time off to get his body in order. Against Cunningham, Adamek said he lacked speed and felt tired after a busy schedule of four fights in 2012. Adamek's August opponent will be revealed soon.
"I'm glad to be back in the ring because I'm hungry to fight. I will compete in the summer with someone who is less known, and then in the autumn I want one of the world's best. If I win in the fall, then next year I will have a fight for the world championship. That's my goal. Right now my promoter is Ziggy Rozalski, but I work with Main Events. I'm properly rested after the last fight. I feel that with every workout I'm a better fighter and in the next fight fans will again behold the old Adamek," said Adamek.
