Former two division world champion Timothy Bradley (31-1, 12KOs) wants to reclaim the WBO welterweight world title that he lost to Manny Pacquiao earlier this year. Bradley captured the title with a controversial twelve round split decision over Pacquiao in 2012 and then retained the belt with decision wins over Ruslan Provodnikov and Juan Manuel Marquez.
Bradley will first have to face Diego Chaves (23-2, 19KOs) on December 13th at the Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Pacquiao will defend that title against undefeated Chris Algieri, the WBO 140-pound champion, on November 22nd at the Venetian in Macau, China.
"I need that title back. I’m gonna get it back sooner or later. These guys don’t want to fight me, they’ll vacate it or leave the game and I’ll have the opportunity to fight for it again or I’ll fight a champion for it, it doesn’t really matter. Like I said, the fans, I just want to put on good fights for the fans. The fans want to see good, competitive fights and that’s the reason why I’m fighting Diego Chaves because he’s a tough guy who comes in and he brings it. I want the fans to come out and support," Bradley said to On The Ropes Boxing Radio.
