Antonio 'Magic Man' Tarver (31-6, 22 KOs) is preparing for his own assault at the heavyweight championship of the world as he is currently in training for an August 14 clash against Steve Cunningham. The Florida native hopes victory over his fellow veteran will lead to a title shot, perhaps against the winner of Wladimir Klitschko versus Tyson Fury. Nevertheless, Tarver believes that Fury will be another one of Klitschko's victims come October 24.

"I personally don’t think that Tyson Fury has the ability to beat a guy like Klitschko," Tarver explained to BoxingScene.

"As soon as Klitschko hits him on the chin with that right hand, he's gone. He's out of there. I don't think he has the skills, the talent. He's just a big, massive man and that's it. I don't see nothing in Tyson Fury, that's just my take."

Another British fighter who Tarver has previously expressed an interest in fighting is David Haye who has not fought since he stopped Dereck Chisora in July 2012. Haye has done the occasional interview stating he is likely to return to the ring yet as of now that is not the case.

"I can't focus on David Haye. Where is he coming back from? He hasn't been anywhere. He had a career that has been squandered. He had a chance to be one of the greats, to really set himself apart. It takes guts to be in that ring, it's tough. I don't know if he's really tough enough. I don't know what to say about him. I'm going to earn my opportunity at the title. On August 14, when I put my skills on display, everybody will have to take me seriously."
