David Benavidez has no shortage of HUGE fights on his radar. In an exclusive interview with BoxingScene, Jose Benavidez Sr. makes it clear that David still wants the biggest names at 175lbs including Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev. Benavidez has previously said those are two fights he wants to make as he pursues more titles and major challenges. But there’s another name that could make things very interesting: Andy Ruiz Jr. Jose discusses the possibility of an all-Mexican showdown between Benavidez and the former heavyweight champion, along with David’s plans across multiple divisions. And with a potential Jai Opetaia showdown also building after the pair came face-to-face following Opetaia’s latest victory, Benavidez has some massive options ahead.
ProboxTV’s championship series is now on the ProBoxTV YouTube channel for $5/month.

IBO cruiserweight champion Antonio Tarver is still pushing for a fight with former two division champion David Haye, who is currently trying to land a summer showdown with WBC heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.
Last week, BoxingScene.com printed a story where Tarver challenged Haye to a heavyweight fight. Tarver, like Haye, is trying to fight a Klitschko. Tarver wants younger brother Wladimir, who holds the IBO/WBO/IBF/WBA titles. To solve their problems, Tarver is challenging Haye to a high-stake showdown - and the winner moves on to a Klitschko fight.
Tarver told SunSport: "I believe Haye should fight me because of what I'm bringing to the table — a real giant reputation in the sport of boxing. I challenged him a while ago and he hasn't publicly addressed me yet, which tells me that he and his whole team see me as a valid threat. He wants me to go away but I'm not. I want that fight because it makes sense for both of us."
"If Haye can't beat me he doesn't deserve Vitali and if I can't beat him then I don't deserve Wladimir. Let's see who really belongs in the ring with the Klitschko brothers. A fight between Haye and me will be a giant springboard for the winner, with the Klitschkos waiting. Haye is a great fighter, I just want the challenge and the opportunity to prove I belong among the very best."
