World Boxing Council President Jose Sulaiman is very relieved that former champion Antonio Margarito is not coming out of retirement. Last week rumors were circulating that Margarito (38-8, 27KOs) was planning a comeback. A day or two later, Margarito released a statement which denied the comeback rumors. The Mexican boxer, 35-years-old, took a lot of punishement in his last two fights, against Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto, and hasn't fought since December 2011.

"Antonio was a great boxer and is an excellent human being and a friend. He has to search for a new path in life that takes him to success, leaving boxing behind. He’s a very well known and loved athlete who can have the support from the people around him so he can be successful in what ever he decides to do," Sulaiman said.
