A few brushstrokes and finishing touches remain to finalize a mega-fight between WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico and Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. The fight is being targeted for November 21st at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
 
On a recent visit to Puerto Rico, where Jose "Toto" Peñagarícano was appointed as an honored new member of the World Boxing Council's Board of Governors,  WBC President Mauricio was able to speak with Cotto about the upcoming fight.
 
Mauricio said: “There are only a few remaining details to finalize for the fight between  "Canelo" Alvarez and Miguel Cotto. Miguel says he's ready to fight with Saul, so [the fight is] a fact, with some aspects to be ironed out."

An official announcement is expected in the coming days.
