WBO #12 Russian light heavyweight Dmitry Sukhostky (15-1, 10 KOs) will be back to the squared circle on Oct. 29 at Yubileyniy palace of sports in Saint Petersburg to face one of his toughest tests to date. Sukhotsky, who previously held a number of minor titles in two weight classes but is best known for his spirited effort against reigning WBO champion Juergen Braehmer last December, clashes against highly ranked Pole Aleksy Kuziemsky (19-1, 4 KOs), who lost his bid via Braehmer last year via eleventh-round TKO. He has beaten talented Russian Igor Mikhalkin (11-0) in his last fight. Kuziemsky is the EBA titleholder, who is also ranked #5 by both the IBF and the WBA and #6 by the WBO. Sukhotsky is the IBF International titlist. However, an exact status of the upcoming match-up hasn’t been solidified yet. “The fight is signed and done and it’ll certainly be a title one”, said Jab Promotions’ president Vitaly Supichenko to this reporter.
This bout will lead a nice-packed card with several notables taking their parts in. Two more fights have also been announced. Cruiserweight Alexander Kotlobay (18-2-1, 12 KOs) will try to erase his worst memories from the recent first-round destruction by Enzo Maccarinelli in his fight Hungarian journeyman Laszlo Hubert (28-6, 18 KOs) in a scheduled eight-rounder. Also, Hurshid Abdullaev (3-0, 2 KOs) takes on Rauf garaev (7-4, 4 KOs) in a six-rounder.

Two more arrangements were announced by Jab Promotions.
On Sep. 25 one of top Russian promotional companies goes north to the Arctic sea-port of Murmansk. The card will see local hero and well-known heavyweight journeyman Daniil Peretyatko (16-29, 6 KOs) in a non-title six-rounder versus Latvian Pavels Dolgovs (5-7-1, 3 KOs). The main event will feature former WBO cruiserweight title challenger Ali Ismailov (17-3-1, 12 KOs) of Azerbaijan in a bid for a vacant PABA title against Hungarian Jozsef Nagy (22-6, 15 KOs). Several more fights will fill in the undercard.
On Nov. 3 at “Atmosphere” night club in St. Petersburg, yet another promotion will take place. In the main event, welterweight upset specialist Alexey Evchenko (9-7-1, 5 KOs) will put his WBO Europe title at risk against yet unknown opponent. Evchenko’s recent victim Sherali Mamadaliev (11-1, 7 KOs) of Tajikistan will also take his part in the show.

Two belated results from Pyatigorsk, Russia, where promoters Sergey Kostenko and Kirill Pchelnikov unified their efforts to make an interesting little card for local entertainment. In the main event, David Avanesyan (5-1, 0 KOs) captured a vacant Russian light welterweight title with a unanimous decision over tough Ivan Kaberkon (4-5, 3 KOs) over ten hard-fought rounds.
Also, rising light heavyweight Roman Simakov (13-1-1, 8 KOs) stopped journeyman Artem Vychkin (8-27, 2 KOs) after the sixth round.
