Top Toowoomba Amateurs Steven Spark and Anne Marie Kelly, are today bound for Hobart to represent Queensland in the Australian Amateur boxing titles to be contested over the next week.
Steven Spark captured the junior 57kg Queensland title in impressive fashion, stopping his opponent in the final in the first round while Anne-marie Kelly claimed her state title after there were no challengers in her division.
The pair are both excited for the event and have both been training extremely hard at Smithy’s Gym as part of the Smithy’s Gym amateur boxing team.
Competition starts in Hobart on Wednesday.
