Anthony Mundine may get the opponent he is not happy about facing, Sam Soliman. Soliman (33-8, 13KOs) picked up a very close majority decision over Enrique Ornelas (25-3, 15KOs) in a very close battle, on Friday at the Soboba Casino in San Jacinto, California. The scores were a 95-94 Soliman, 95-94 Soliman and 95-95.

Soliman was as the top of the list for facing Anthony Mundine for the vacant "regular" WBA super middleweight title in 2007. Mikkel Kessler was named the super champion after winning the WBC version of the title from Markus Beyer. Mundine had said to the media that he was not happy with the possibility of facing Soliman, a fighter he already beat in the past - because he thinks Soliman's style will make for a boring fight. He would much rather face Jeff Lacy, who is also in the running for the bout.

In the co-feature, undefeated heavyweight Travis Walker (22-0, 17KOs) also won a majority decision over 8 rounds to ruin the perfect record of Jason Estrada (7-1, 1KO). The scores were 78-74 Walker, 77-75 Walker and 76-76.
