After stopping Shayne Singleton to defend his British Welterweight Title, Bradley Skeete reiterated his desire to win the belt outright, but also mentioned Manny Pacquiao as a possible opponent.

Skeete fought with extra spite and aggression to stop his mandatory challenger in five rounds and needs one more successful defence to win the Lord Lonsdale strap for keeps.

Many feel that Skeete is a level above the current domestic crop, but the Penge man is determined to win the British Title before stepping up.

“It’s the British Title. I bet there’s a lot of people out there who have defended it once or twice…and they wish they had this on their mantel piece at home.”

Skeete admitted he would be tempted to step up a level right away, if a certain Filipino legend was available. “It’s got to be a big one, and it’s got to be right,” he said.

“[Pacquiao] is old, he’s coming to the end of his career, and he’s tiny. I’m ranked number four with the WBO.

“He’s fighting Jeff Horn! He’s doing a World tour. If he comes to England, let’s get it on. Why not? Let’s do this!”
