Shane Mosley: Cotto vs. Canelo is a 50-50 Fight

Former three division champion Shane Mosley recently spoke to Boxingscene.com about the potential Miguel Cotto-Canelo Alvarez clash that is being proposed for May 2nd.

Mosley has faced both men in the ring and said that it's a close to even fight. He said that Cotto looks rejuvenated while Canelo is young and strong with good punching power.

"I don't know who to favor in that fight," said Mosley.

"Cotto looked so good versus Martinez. He knocked him down and showed good punching power and footwork. Even when he fought Mayweather, after the fight in the back (Floyd) told me, 'man you didn't tell me he was that good.'

"I think Canelo is a good young fighter coming up that has good old style skills. He throws good body shots and knows how to put his combinations together and Cotto is not really a mover so there will be a lot of action in that fight. I would love to see that fight," Mosley told BoxingScene.com.
