Peter Rivera, the head of PR Best Boxing Promotions, has confirmed to BoxingScene.com that a bout between WBO 130-pound titlist Orlando Salido, and the rugged Rocky Martinez, is a go for April 11th in Puerto Rico.

"We're going to make the announcement on Thursday in Puerto Rico,"said Rivera, who says that Salido - a noted slayer of boxers from the island - will be flying in for a press conference.

Salido-Martinez looks to be an all-action, fan-friendly fight between two guys who aren't afraid to mix it up. The fight will be available on pay-per-view.

"Around the United States all the cable companies will be through In-Demand, Dish and DirecTV. So it's basically on all the systems," Rivera pointed out.

There will be some competition on that date as Danny Garcia is slated to face Lamont Peterson on NBC. Garcia, is of Puerto Rican heritage.

"We know that it's 'free' TV show," said Rivera. "But for Puerto Rico, at least with the locals, the Puerto Ricans that live on the East Coast, the real Puerto Ricans that live in like Florida, I believe they really care about the fight with Martinez and Salido is very well known out there.

The fight will be staged at the brand new Coliseo Puerto Rico and will be configured for a capacity of 10,000.
