British champion Ryan Walsh (21-1-1) and Danish contender Dennis Ceylan (17-0-1) are now co-challengers for the vacant EBU featherweight title. The EBU have set July 13 as deadline for agreement or purse bids.
The title was left vacant by Ukraine´s Oleg Yemofovich, who first had Carmelo Tommasone as official challenger and then Walsh and then relinquished the title.
Ceylan has been sidelined with an injured left hand since December, while Walsh has defended the British title twice during 2016.
In other news - Gianluca Mandras (11-4) won the vacant Italian heavyweight title last night in Marcianise with a close unanimous decision after ten rounds against Sergio Romano (5-7).
