Andy Ruiz has dared Anthony Joshua to back up his talk of winning their rematch in Mexico.
Joshua suffered the first defeat of his professional career against Ruiz, surrendering his WBA, IBF, IBO and WBO world titles.
The Briton's seventh-round stoppage by Ruiz on June 1 was a shock for the formerly unbeaten heavyweight champion, but he believes he can win the rematch later this year.
He was dropped four times before the referee waved off the bout before a shocked Madison Square Garden crowd in New York City.
A few later, Joshua exercised his right to an immediate rematch.
Joshua and his promoter, Eddie Hearn, would love the rematch to take place in Cardiff at the Principality Stadium and they have ruled out a return to America.
But at the same time, Joshua believes that he would be capable of beating Ruiz anywhere - including in Mexico.
"It doesn't matter to me where it is. I don't mind fighting in America, I've done it before," Joshua said.
"I would love it to be in Cardiff but it's going to be on neutral ground, Ruiz is the champ so he will make some calls in that situation but I'm going to battle for it to be in the UK because it's my stomping ground.
“You've got two ends of it… I'd fight in Tijuana and Ruiz's uncle could be the referee and I would still whoop him. It don't matter to me where it is, there's that aspect."
Ruiz has reacted to those statements, and he wants Joshua to back up his talk by accepting the fight in Mexico.
"AJ says he can whoop me in Tijuana - prove it! Let’s run it in Mexico. Remember that you did have a huge reason to come to America and that was to build your profile. Cherry pick gone wrong," Ruiz stated on social media.
