For the last three weeks, Felix Trinidad has been back in spotlight after it was revealed that he met in Puerto Rico with promoter Don King to plan a January 2008 return to the ring.

Last Saturday, Jones (51-4) captured the IBC light heavyweight with a unanimous decision win over Anthony Hanshaw (21-1) at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi. The win kept the bout with Trinidad alive, but now Jones says that he is not willing to wait until January to fight again.

Jones wants to return to the ring before the end of the year against another credible opponent.

"I'm 38 and don't have time to play. Whoever wants some, they can come and get it," Jones said to the Biloxi Sun Herald. "Trinidad wants to fight in January, but I can't wait that long."
