The Nicaraguan boxer Román "Chocolatito Gonzalez is traveling to Puebla City, Mexico, where this Saturday he faces former world champion Manuel "Chango" Vargas in the first defense of his World Boxing Association [WBA] junior flyweight crown. This fight looks favorable for Gonzalez, who is a strong champion, with great talent, and has knocked out 23 of his 27 opponents in his solid boxing career.

It is clear that his coach Arnulfo Obando, who intends to return with his pupil as the reigning chmapion, is targeting winner of April fight between Giovanni Segura and Iván Calderón.

"Roman is well trained for this defense, he will arrive in very good condition and we are confident that we are going to win this fight," Obando said. "When he gets to the gym, Roman aims to train, to do his job and with this kind of work I don't think he's going to have any problems with the weight."
