Welterweight contender Robert Guerrero will join sports talk show host Jim Rome on Thursday’s edition of ‘ROME,’ a daily talk show which airs at 6:00PM ET on CBS Sports Network.
The show airs as part of CBS Sports’ commitment to showcasing the upcoming May 4 Showtime pay-per-view headliner between Guerrero and unbeaten pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. The bout takes place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and serves as Guerrero’s first major PPV main event.
Mayweather fights for the first time under the CBS/Showtime umbrella.
Guerrero (31-1-1, 18KO) appears on the talk show circuit for the first time since last month’s arrest at JFK Airport, where he was charged for possession of an unloaded firearm. The incident was in violation of New York’s strict gun laws, though Guerrero was cleared to carry the firearm in his home state of California as well as other points during his trip en route to an appearance on The 700 Club .
Thursday’s segment of ‘ROME’ is part of more than 10 hours of coverage dedicated to the May 4 ‘May Day’ pay-per-view event. The network’s coverage will include a live airing of next week’s final press conference (Wedneday May 1, 4:30PM ET) and the official weigh-in on Friday, May 3 (6:00PM ET).
Immediately following next Saturday’s fight, CBS Sports Network will air live post-fight analysis as well as complete post-fight press conference coverage.
