Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach is still reflecting on Manny Pacquiao's twelve round unanimous decision loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the 'Fight of The Century' which took place on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
After the fight, Pacquiao - even with a right shoulder injury - felt he did enough to win the fight.
Pacquiao re-watched the fight several times, stating in interviews that he scored it seven rounds to five - 115-113.
Roach has not watched the fight, but says he was told by the majority of the fans, that he encountered following the fight, that Pacquiao "was robbed" of a win.
After the fight was over, Roach felt the bout was close and saw the decision going either way.
"I thought he could have thrown more flurries like we had planned to. I think he was working very well. We were out-punching Mayweather. The thing is, Mayweather did run a lot. Most of the people and the fans told me we got robbed, then the next day at the airport 99% of the people told me that we won the fight. I haven't re-watched it yet so I can't tell you what I think yet, but after the fight [was over] I was like hmmmm....I think it could go either way," Roach told BoxingScene.com.
