Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach believes Floyd Mayweather Jr. is mentally weak. He feels Mayweather throws around money and brags about his purchases in order to boost his own confidence.

Roach is considered to be a master of mind games and usually does the majority of the pre-fight trash talk when many of his fighters are involved in high profile matches - and Roach especially does the majority of the talking when the mild mannered Manny Pacquiao is involved.

On May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Mayweather and Pacquiao will collide for the WBO/WBA/WBC welterweight titles at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

“I want to get inside his head a little bit,” Roach says to New York Magazine. “He’s not a secure person. He’s very fragile. He’s really insecure. You can tell by the way he lives. The money, the cars, the houses. I’ve seen that before in boxing. He’s on the road to disaster."

Roach also says Mayweather is bothered by the sight of blood and may fall apart if Pacquiao inflicts a bad cut.

“Mayweather is bothered by blood,” Roach says. “I don’t know if Manny will be willing [to purposefully instigate a cut], but accidents do happen.”
