The Garcia brothers of Baja California are looking to make history next Saturday, April 30th, at The Forum in Mexico City. They want to make family history by walking away with titles belts around both of their waists. It would be the first time in their careers where both brothers held titles at the same time.
Raúl Garcia (29-1-1, 17 KOs) will defend the minimumweight title of the World Boxing Organization (WBO) against dangerous Filipino Rommel Asenjo (20-2, 16 KOs).
Ramon Garcia (15-2-1, 8 KOs) will look for revenge in his rematch with Colombian Jesus Gels (12-1-1, 5 KOs). In February, Gels captured the vacant WBO junior flyweight title with a split decision over Garcia. The first fight took place in Colombia. This time Garcia will have the home crowd's support.
