Brazil Olympic gold medalist Hebert Conceicao will headline a card in one of America’s biggest Brazilian communities, as he faces Venezuela’s Johan Gonzalez on April 10 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

The 10-round middleweight fight will headline a ProBox TV card, a first for Conceicao, who won the middleweight gold at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.

Conceicao, 10-0 (5 KOs), is coming off a shutout win over Elias Espadas last December, capping off a busy 2025 in which he won four bouts. The 28-year-old Conceicao will face one of his most dangerous tasks so far as a pro when he meets the 34-year-old Gonzalez, 36-5 (34 KOs). Gonzalez is coming off a unanimous decision loss to WBA middleweight titleholder Erislandy Lara in December, but he has proven to be a tough out in his career, defeating Jarrett Hurd and Guido Schramm in minor upsets while losing by stoppage to Jesus Ramos Jnr and Yoenis Tellez.

In the co-featured bout, Francisco Veron, 16-1-1 (10 KOs), is hoping to take his next step towards junior middleweight contention when he faces Raul Garcia, 15-2-1 (12 KOs). Veron, 27, of Buenos Aires, Argentina, is coming off his biggest win to date, a shutout of Roiman Villa in November. Meanwhile, the Dominican Republic’s Garcia, 27, scored a minor upset of Emiliano Moreno in September in his most recent appearance.

The two other main-card fights will feature Tsendbaatar Erdenebat, 14-0 (6 KOs), against Muhammad Yaqubov, 23-1-1 (12 KOs), in an all-southpaw junior lightweight showdown, while William Foster III, 19-3 (11 KOs), will face Joshafat Ortiz, 13-2 (6 KOs), in a 10-round junior lightweight fight.
