MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Rances "Kid Blast" Barthelemy (23-0, 13KOs) is looking for the best fight possible at junior welterweight, and his target opponent is another former champion, Omar Figueroa (25-0-1, 18KOs).
Barthelemy made his junior welterweight debut earlier today at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas - where he dropped and dominated former champion Antonio DeMarco (31-5-1, 23KOs) over ten rounds.
Figueroa made his junior welterweight debut last month in Texas (although Figueroa failed to make the weight), where he won a tough twelve round decision over Ricky Burns.
"He would like to fight Omar Figueroa. He believes that it will be very exciting, a Castillo-Corrales type of fight. That's who he wants," said his promoter, Luis DeCubas Sr. 'But he's ready to fight anybody in the division."
