Heavyweight prospect Hasim Rahman Jr. (12-1, 6 KOs) had previously spoken with Sky Sports regarding the possibility of a fight with Youtube star turned boxer, Jake Paul (5-0, 4 KOs).

Rahman Jr. - the son of former heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman - had predicted a first round stoppage if he stepped in the ring with Paul.

"I would feel like I'd be representing boxing at that point," Rahman said of the potential fight during a Sky Sports interview. "I would try my best not to let him out of the first minute, if they want entertainment that's fine.

“I would put my money on the fight ending in the first round, I wouldn't say the first minute. I would feel kind of embarrassed if I let him out of the first round, I have to hold it down for boxing at that point. I'd be saying 'ref, he don't belong in here with me, so get him out of there'. That's the type of mentality I'd be coming in with."

Rahman will now get the opportunity to make good on that prediction on August 6th, when he faces Paul in the main event of a Showtime Pay-Per-View card from Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The two took part in a heated sparring session two years ago - where they had to be separated in the aftermath of the spar.

On Thursday, Rahman officially replaced light heavyweight prospect Tommy Fury - who was pulled from the fight due to his inability to enter the United States.

Rahman is coming off the first defeat of his career, which he suffered back in April at the hands of James Morrison - the son of the late Tommy Morrison. Rahman had won the first four rounds on all three official cards, before he was caught and stopped in the fifth.
