WBA, WBC and WBO female welterweight champion Cecilia Braekhus defends her titles against Ku´ulei Kupihea on December 3 in Helsinki, as a supporting bout to Alexander Povetkin vs Cedric Boswell headliner. Heavyweight Robert Helenius is also on the show. Braekhus was scheduled to fight on November 5 as part of the Robert Stieglitz vs. Mikkel Kessler card in Copenhagen, but her fight fell through when Kessler got injured.
Italian heavyweights Matteo Modugno and Paolo Vidoz will clash for the national title on December 16 in Rezzato. This is a Boxe Loreni promotion and for Vidoz, a former two-time EBU champ, it´s his last chance.
Danish veteran Christian Bladt takes on Canadian prospect Kevin Bizier on November 5 in Quebec on the undercard to Lucian Bute vs Glen Johnson. Bizier is unbeaten in 15 while Bladt was knocked out by Sasha Yengoyan in his last fight.
"The Promoter and his Fighters" is the English title of a two-part documentary on Danish promoter Mogens Palle and the fighters in his team over a fifty (50) year span. Viewers meet the likes of Chris Christensen, Tom Bogs, Borge Krogh, Jorgen Hansen, Ayub Kalule, Hans Henrik Palm and other European greats in what is a wonderful, nostalgic trip all the way back to the late 50´s.
