According to manager Vadim Kornilov, WBC junior welterweight champion Victor Postol (28-0, 12KOs) has long agreed to a unification with Terence Crawford (28-0, 20KOs), who holds the WBO's version of the world crown.

Postol captured the world title in October with a unexpected knockout of dangerous Argentinean puncher Lucas Matthysse. Crawford moved up to 140-pounds and became the WBO junior welterweight champion in April 2015 and since then he's managed to hold two successful defenses.

At the moment Postol and his team are waiting for Crawford's answer on the fight.

"The contract is now being discussed. As far as I know, we are now waiting for approval from Crawford because Postol has long agreed to the fight. This fight could happen on July 23 in Las Vegas. I think, during the week something will be determined on whether or not that fight is confirmed," Kornilov said.

Postol has been out of the ring since his world title win over Matthysse and is very eager to get back in the ring. Crawford was back in the ring January, when he knocked out Hank Lundy in five rounds to retain his WBO world title for the second time at The Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York City.
