The weights are in for two events taking place in Japan on New Year's Eve.
In Osaka, Nicaraguan boxer Felix "Twin" Alvarado (18-0, 15KOs) will challenge Japan's Kazuto Ioka (13-0, 9KOs) for the junior flyweight championship of the World Boxing Association (WBA). The fight will take place at the Bodymaker Arena and the card is bring promoted by Ioka Promotions. Ioka came in at 106.4 pounds, while Alvarado came in at 106.8 pounds - both below the limit of 108 pounds.
Over in Tokyo, the super featherweight champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), undefeated Takashi Uchiyama, will face compatriot Daiki Kaneko at the Ota City General Gymnasium Tokyo. The card will be staged by Teiken Promotions. Uchiyama (20-0-1, 17 KOs) vs. Kaneko is the main event. Uchiyama came in at 129.75, while Kaneko was 130-pounds.
In the other main event of the night, the world super featherweight champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC), Takashi Miura, will face Mexico's Dante "Crazy" Jardon. Miura (26-2-2, 19 KOs) and Jardon (24-3, 20 KOs) both came in at the limit of 130-pounds.
