A fast start, as they stood in close and exchanged punches in the middle of the ring. Scotney was the busier of the two, throwing punches in combinations while Johnson was throwing one punch at a time in most instances.

Scotney was targeting the body often in the second. Johnson began to pick things up in the third. Scotney was tad bit quicker, which made her shots get to the target first. After a close fourth, Johnson was doing a lot more firing in the fifth as the pace began to slow, but Scotney was landing well in spots.

During the sixth, a bad cut opened up around the right eye of Johnson from a clash of heads. They began to trade toe to toe, with Scotney having the edge. There was a lot of holding by Johnson in the seventh, when Scotney got close. They were trading on the inside for the most part.

The eight was a give and take affair, with both having moments. It was a close ninth, with both once again having moments once again. The tenth and final round saw both throwing everything to leave a last impression. Scotney was connecting with the more eye-catching punches.
