The cage is open and former world junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri is preparing for his scheduled return to the ring. Algieri is training with John David Jackson and Derik Santos in Florida for the upcoming fight against Erick Bone.

This fight is scheduled for ten rounds at welterweight, and it takes place as part of the Showtime televised undercard to Daniel Jacobs's set defense of the WBA "regular" middleweight title against Peter Quillin on December 12th from the Barclay Center in Brooklyn, New York.

'I'm excited, in 2016 I will return to boxing's elite against the best opposition. I have two great coaches in Jackson and Santos. I am very happy to be here in Florida training for this fight. My goal is to get another world title fight. I feel very strong and I can return to the big fights once again," said Algieri.

Algieri was last in the ring back in May, when he lost a spirited decision to British superstar Amir Khan.
