Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas - Welterweights Omar Chavez and Jorge Paez Jr. went face to face at a press conference to promote this Saturday's showdown called "Legends Legacy" at the Metropolitan Arena in Tuxtla Gutierrez, which is going to be broadcast by TV Azteca. The "Businessman" Chavez (27-0-1, 20 KOs) and "Maromerito" Paez (29-4-1, 18 KOs) will battle over a ten round pace.
"I've done a lot of preparation at the Wild Card Gym with trainer Freddie Roach and Alex Ariza and that will be reflected in the ring on Saturday. I will be in great condition, with speed and endurance. I'm facing an opponent with experience and a name. It will be a great fight which the public will enjoy," Chavez said.
"We are both sons of two famous fathers, and that makes it an even more interesting fight and the winner's career will take off, so this fight is key and therefore were are ready for a tough fight," Paez said.
In the co-feature, former flyweight world champion, Julio Cesar "Pingo" Miranda and Cecilio "Boga" Santos will collide.
