British star Amir Khan took a shot at WBC/WBO/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. on the social networks.
Khan posted a photo, wearing an oversized glove, claiming that he'll wear those gloves if Mayweather agrees to fight him on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Mayweather is scheduled to return on that September date and Khan is one of the names being mentioned to face him.
Khan's photo is a reference to last year's glove-gate, when Mayweather refused to go forward with his initial fight against Marcos Maidana until the Argentinian puncher selected another style of glove. Maidana has planned to wear the Everlast MX gloves, which are preferred by punchers - but Mayweather objected after their official weigh-in and threatened to cancel the entire contest. Maidana selected another model in the Everlast inventory.
Mayweather won't have that problem with Khan, who posted the below photo and the following message.
"Floyd Mayweather fight me. Promise you iI'llwear this glove for the fight."
