Former five division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. is present at the World Boxing Council's annual convention in Florida. Mayweather captured WBC world titles at 130, 135, 140, 147 and 154. Mayweather retired from the sport of boxing last September after retaining his WBC/WBA titles for a final time with a twelve round unanimous decision over Andre Berto at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The World Boxing Council is presenting a life size statue of Boxing's King, Muhammad Ali, at the upcoming convention to be held in Hollywood, Florida, December 11-17.

Ali, who passed away on June 3, will receive a special tribute, accompanied by the entire boxing family. That is an indication of the esteem in which he was held.

"We will present a statue of the actual size of Muhammad Ali. It's a figure like the ones we see in wax museums, There will be many surprises at the opening ceremony in the WBC Convention. We will honor and eternally remember the greatest fighter in boxing history," WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman, commented.

TELCEL is inviting everyone to the activities and surprises that will be held at this historic convention from the Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood. Several of the activities began this past weekend.
