WBO middleweight champion Peter Quillin looks forward to the upcoming middleweight clash between WBA/IBO champion Gennady Golovkin (27-0, 24KOs) and hard puncher Curtis Stevens (25-3, 18KOs). Golovkin-Stevens take place at The Theater at the Madison Square Garden in New York City on November 2nd. Quillin is backing his good friend, Stevens, to bring the gold home.
"I think its a good matchup. You have two heavy hitters. Curtis is a good friend of my mine and I'm going to be in his corner for that fight. As far as Gennady Golovkin, he has a lot of momentum, he has a lot of hype behind him, I would like to see how well he does against a guy who hits back and is not scared of him. You have two guys with a lot of will and a lot of effort and those are the type of matches that fans want to see. I think for the most part Curtis is going to go in there and do his thing and hopefully bring it back to Brooklyn," Quillin said to BoxingScene.com.
