NASHVILLE—Bryant ‘Goodfella’ Perrella doesn’t just to win his next fight, but ensure that it’s trending worldwide when all is said and done.

The 30-year old welterweight southpaw from Ft. Myers, Florida once again arrives at the crossroads as he faces divisional gatekeeper Abel Ramos in a scheduled 10-round bout on February 15 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The bout serves as the chief support to a Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on Fox telecast topped by local unbeaten super middleweight titlist Caleb Plant (19-0, 11KOs) in a homecoming defense versus mandatory challenger Vincent Feigenbutz (31-2, 28KOs).

While the goal isn’t specifically to steal the show, the charismatic welterweight contender definitely plans to create a buzz on the Music City strip. He’s even offered keywords for the occasion.

“February 15, I’m coming to dominate,” Perrella stated during a press conference announcing the event Wednesday afternoon on site. “Operation ‘Abel will be unable.’ Hashtag, #AdiosRamos.”

It’s a tall order, even for the 6’1” southpaw who has won his last two starts including a 3rd round stoppage of Domonique Dolton last July. His last two wins follow a stretch where he dropped two of his previous three starts, a 4th round knockout loss to Yordenis Ugas in 2016—at a time when Perrella was still a developing prospect and with Ugas since emerging as a top-tier welterweight—and a narrow defeat to former titlist Luis Collazo in August 2018.

Wins over then-unbeaten David Grayton, Alex Martin and most recently Dolton served their purpose in helping Perrella come along as a rising prospect. The goal for 2020, however, is to emerge as a threat to the stacked welterweight title picture.

“Three big W’s, baby,” Perrella insisted to BoxingScene.com. “It’s all about win, win win. First up is Abel Ramos, certainly can’t look past him. But once we take care of business like I know we can, looking for big fights on the horizon after that.

“Big things are within reach, but it’s up to me to make them happen. That means delivering a performance on February 15 that has everyone talking.”
