Stuart Hall will make the next defence of his IBF bantamweight title against Paul Butler.

Hall took the vacant strap last year after Jamie McDonnell was stripped of the belt by defeating Vusi Malinga over 12 rounds.

Butler represents an altogether different challenge, with the youngster having carried all before him of late at super-flyweight.

This will be just his second outing at the higher weight but it will have a world title on the line in Newcastle on June 7.

"It's the fight I've wanted and I know I've got the skill and firepower to beat Hall and take the world title from him," said Butler, 15-0.

"Hall's a good, strong, fighter. He's the world champion and I respect him for that, but all respect will go out of the window on the night and I will do my job and I'll go out and smoke his boots."
